Had the great pleasure of shooting Aman and Bhavna's wedding in Sydney, at the Shri Shiva Mandir in Minto, Sydney, Australia.
The culture, the fun.. The intricate detail in the ceremonies.. That's what I love about weddings, especially Indian ones.
I have to say, blessed with a beautiful day to be getting married! :)
Such a beautiful house! :D
Family slowly arriving at the Bhardwaj Residence :)
The man of the day gets perpared.
All ready for the morning ceremony :) .. minus the shoes :P
Checking up on mum.
And the prayers at home begin :)
Family love :)
Brothers will be brothers :P
Getting him all set for the wedding :)
That TAG.. on the 7th of March :)
Wedding day? You gotta take a selfie. :P
And the tieing process begins!
And a friend came to save the day, and try a really impressive turban! :D
And everything is A-Okay! :D
One last look, before heading down :)
And we're ready to go. :)
I especially remember this moment.. The bride and groom are not meant to see each other before the wedding ceremony, so as Bhavna arrived, Aman was facing away from the car.. And he asked me, "Chris.. How is she?". "She's smiling.. And wow looks amazing! You sir are a lucky man." And he just smiled and said,
"I know." :)
Such a perfect evening. :)
The procession welcoming the groom's family! :)
Welcoming the grooms family! :)
Awesome food! And fresh naan right out of the tandoor!
Such a beautiful setting!
And the bride enters.. Aman looks on from afar :)
The entrusting of the bride to the groom.
Family overseas watching through Skype. :)
Those smiles.. :)
That look at each other.. It's really happening. :)
The exchanging of rings..
.. and something sweet. :)
Officially married! :D
Smart :P So the boys did a good job of hiding the groom's shoes away from the girls.. so the girls stole Bhavna's shoes instead, demanding that Aman should pay to get them back, being a good husband and all. :P
Those final farewells..
Mum ready to welcome the couple home. :)
Finally get to sit and rest :D
.. but not done yet! Still a couple more traditional games to play. :D
Though he won't admit it, Aman, being the gentleman he is, let Bhavna win.. :P
And so begins their lives together! I wish them both the very best! :D
